Wellness ~
What does wellness mean to you? Is it taking care of your body only? Or does it involve your inner emotional world, spiritual world as well? I believe in balance and harmony of both the outside and the inside.
Physical exercise and movement is really important. Our body is our vehicle through life and we need to take care of it. But we also need to take care of our emotions and our mind/brain. Our minds are funny things, as they want to keep us "safe" all of the time. It's part of our wiring. But the downside is that they can also be "on" a lot of the time too. How do you turn your mind off? Easier said than done sometimes! And what about your emotions? Do they control you? Do you burst into tears or get angry easily? Learning to "feel" things but not let them control us creates freedom, but can also be hard work. Self care is about taking care of ALL of you > Mind. Body. Spirit. Loving all parts of yourself equally and taking the time to heal, to transform, to evolve ... to align yourself is so vitally important. |
